The wedding tale of a Toronto Rock chick and her very lucky groom

Your wedding tale
is just back from a lovely stay in Toronto, Canada - thank you so much, Loretta and Dave, for all the hospitality! It was a boiling hot and humid day in June (it's interesting how the weather forecasts in Canada shows one "real" temperature, and one "what-it-feels-like-temperature", due to its heavy summer humidity) and regardless of the "feeling like" temperature hitting 38c, our marrying couple couldn't have wished for a more beautiful day to enjoy their late morning, outdoor ceremony!
The ceremony garden in question, was an adjacent to one of Toronto's earliest and most gorgeous landmarks, the Old Mill Inn, with its history and charm dating back to the 1700s.
After the ceremony, we had the opportunity to enjoy our first ever "wedding brunch buffet"
- and I don't think I've ever had a brunch buffet quite like it, in a building quite like that!

Having done makeup and hair for plenty of videos and shows, Loretta takes it all in to her own hands.... with some expert help from her sister's dog...

...and from her niece...

One of the most important people in Loretta's life... her sister. When they're not together, they're on the phone to each other. What a great bond to have!

It will be home decorated cup cake to take away for each guest, instead of a wedding cake after the brunch! Then we saw the brunch desert section...  However, I thought it was a nice touch, something a bit different.

Loretta's dress is home made! With a restriction of wedding/pregnancy dresses on the market coinciding with Loretta's taste - she's made the dress herself!

I'm sure baby Declan is rocking with excitement today...

Dave is nervously hiding from his bride in a side room...

The amazing wedding brunch buffet! Isn't that the most beautiful restaurant to be served a brunch in!

Absolutely fell in love with the interiors of The Old Mill Inn! Beautiful decor with a touch of history, vintage carpets and endless, quirky corridors and stairwells.
It was like waking up in a Noir movie! There wasn't a question whether Loretta wanted to have some newly weds' portraits taken here. And Dave didn't need much convincing...

How is that for a first dance! Dave whisks Loretta off for an improvised number, to the tones that suddenly sips out from the loudspeakers in the Grand hallway. Her only regret, Loretta confesses, is that she won't ever know, what tune was played for their first dance...
